Evening Fun & Praise
Evenings from 7.00pm | Thursday - Friday | Main Marquee

Starting off the rally with two installments from the Talbot Duo (Ken & Jean), then sessions from Paul Sparks, The Youth Group and Mary Pearce, we have our usual Evening Entertainment slot for all the family.

Ken and Jean Talbot

Ken and Jean have been a member of CCCF for many years and have enjoyed being part of many of the activities during that time. I was chairman of the West Midland region for some years, and chaired the planning committee at spring bank for a couple of years. We spent many happy hours doing little jobs around the site. At home we are very involved in our local church and I am still a local preacher.

Paul Sparks

Paul Sparks is again in charge of our fun event. It should be a raucous time for all the family. Paul’s family includes his wife, Hannah, and children Eve, Leah, Daniel, Isaac and Joshua, 2, 4, 6 ,8 and 10 respectively. Paul is a teacher in a primary school which is just a stone's throw away from their house, which comes in handy when time is short! Paul and Hannah have been married for 11 years, and Hannah is a nurse.

Mary Pearce

Mary Pearce avoided languages as much as possible at school, preferring to become a Maths teacher, but God had other ideas and her life changed direction when five Wycliffe Bible translators in the space of just ten weeks told her that mathematicians are good at translation! She discovered that she actually enjoyed seeing how languages work. She became a translator in Chad, Africa and now she lives mostly in Gloucester, with visits to Chad. She works with language groups who don’t yet have a written form of their language, trying to figure out together how it could be written down. She will be sharing some fun aspects of all this and some of the interesting mistakes that happen when you get translation wrong! Mary enjoys art, music and cartoon drawing – so this will be a fun evening for all of the family.
